The Keep Climbing Podcast is a series of curious conversations for young learning leaders.
We want to help you find ways to win at the things that matter most.
These conversations are hosted by Quinn McDowell (founder of Arete Hoops) and Kayla Michael (former women’s basketball player at Missouri University). They are a brother and sister duo who were both former Division 1 college athletes. Our goal is to:
- Learn – the habits, routines, and mindsets of people on the path of excellence
- Grow – into leaders worth following (and help others do the same authentically)
- Lead – through the pursuit of purpose we hope to lead meaningful lives and help others do the same
What does “Keep Climbing” mean?
Keep climbing is a mantra that reminds us that growth is a journey not a destination. It’s a mentality that prioritizes progress over perfection, consistency over motivation, and learning over certainty. We want to learn, grow, and lead into people worth following.
Why start “another” podcast?
We came from a family that produced 5 division one athletes (see below). Competition and the pursuit of excellence has always been part of our DNA. We want to provide a unique perspective to help young leaders be their best possible selves.
The 2018 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships are held at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex on February 23, 2018. Quinn McDowell scored a career-high 28 points in W&M’s win over Maryland.
